Hi, I’m Sarah. I am a full-time working momma, with a recently discovered enthusiasm for photography and blogging. I love my family, I love my friends, and I love this grand adventure that is life. I believe that God and happiness are easiest to find in the simplest of moments.
For me, photography is an art, a creative outlet. It's something that forces me to see the beauty in everything, to become more aware and appreciative of the details of each day, and it's a way to preserve moments and memories.
For as long as I can remember, I've always loved taking pictures, however, in 2009 that love was magnified with the birth of our first daughter Sydney. I found myself wanting to capture not just the big moments and events, but all of the simple, day-to-day things, that seemed to be slipping by so fast. My awesome husband, saw how this passion was growing in me and surprised me with my first DSLR camera (a Nikon D90) for Christmas in 2010. That sealed the deal. I'm smitten. I've spent countless hours since scouring books, blogs, and the internet, learning as much as I can about the art and science of photography. I take my camera with me everywhere and I strive to capture life's fleeting moments. The magic in the small, the details, the mundane.
For now, photography is a passionate hobby, but I have hopes of doing some portfolio building, continuing to hone my skills, and then eventually taking things to the next level by doing what I love in some sort of professional manner in the not-so-distant future.
